To build capacities of farmers residing in the earthquake affected areas of District Kohistan in orchards management, top working of wild fruit trees and production of off-season vegetables, LASOONA under the Agriculture Livelihoods Rehabilitation Project (A collaborative project of German Agro Action and LASOONA) organized second nine (9) days intensive training at Agriculture Research Center Mingora Swat. A total number of 15 farmers from 4 different union councils of Palas Tehsil- District Kohistan are currently engaged in the training. The event started on 7th January and will last till January 16, 2007. The training is imparted to enhance the existing agro-based production of the area farmers and to rejuvenate the agrarian system of production after the devastating earthquake of October 8, 2005.
