In order to built capacities of the farmers residing in the earthquake affected areas of districts Shangla and Kohistan in orchards management, top working of wild fruit trees and production of off-season vegetables, LASOONA under the Agriculture Livelihoods Rehabilitation Project organized nine (9) days intensive training at Agriculture Research Center Mingora Swat. A total number of 18 farmers from six different union councils are currently engaged in the training. The event started on 20th December and will last till December 28, 2006. The training is  imparted to enhance the existing agro-based production of the area farmers and to rejuvenate the agrarian system of production after the devastating earthquake of October 8, 2005.
