 Grants Contracts Signing CeremonyDate: 12 Jul, 2007 - Views: 315
On July 10th contracts of approved projects were signed between Agribusiness Support Fund Lahore and four Farmers’ Enterprise Groups (FEGs) at LASOONA Field Office Matta. The groups were established by LASOONA in villages of Arkot, Chuprial, Chaman Lalai and Durashkeela. The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Shad Muhammad- Advisor and Sayed Ahmad Shah- Chief Grants Monitoring of Agribusiness Support Fund- Lahore. 
The present grant allocation of Rs.0.6 million to four FEGs is part of assistance to established Farmers’ Enterprise Group in district Swat and Dir for the enterprise development in Agribusiness sector. The approved grants are on 50% matching and reimbursement bases for groups. The FEGs will utilize the amount of more than one million for national and international linkages development, product standardization, and value addition of horticulture crops. It is to be noted that LASOONA (Agribusiness Support Fund Project) will establish 60 FEGs in district Swat and Dir (Lower) in horticulture sector during the current year. The groups will be assisted for grant allocation form ASF for their enterprise development, new market identification, and value addition in horticulture sector. [ Go Back | News Archive]
