LASOONA staff presented the project to the participants of the District Government and explained aims, objectives and approach of the project.

At the end of the presentation, various questions were asked regarding project interventions which were answered by the staff satisfactorily. President Swat Apple Grower Association Mr. Salahuddin Khan stressed the need of active community involvement for the effective implementation of the project. He suggested that the project should work in close partnership with the Association. Lady Councilor Mrs. Nasim Akhtar suggested that separate meeting should be arranged for the female representatives because Horticulture and especially processing and preservation are mostly female activities in this part of the province.

At the end Team Leader of the project Mr. Saeed Iqbal thanked all the participants for their active participation and candid inputs.
